There is provided an admixture comprising morsellised bone particles and particles of water-soluble biodegradable glass. The particle size distribution and diameter range is pre-selected to produce an aggregate. Addition of the glass enables an admixture having aggregate characteristics and thus increased shear strength to be produced whilst simultaneously enabling bone regeneration to occur within the treated defect. The admixture is therefore useful in the repair of bone defects, especially primary joint arthroplasties, such as hip replacement operations.

L'invention concerne un adjuvant comprenant des particules osseuses morcelées et des particules de verre biodégradable et hydrosoluble. La composition granulométrique et le diamètre des particules sont présélectionnés de façon à produire un agrégat. L'ajout de verre permet d'obtenir simultanément, d'une part, un adjuvant ayant des caractéristiques d'agrégat et, par conséquent, une plus grande résistance au cisaillement, et, d'autre part, une régénération osseuse de la malformation traitée. Par conséquent, cet adjuvant convient à la réparation de malformations osseuses, notamment les arthroplasties d'articulations primaires, telles que des opérations de remplacement de la hanche.
