There is provided a book support which comprises a base having a generally rectangular configuration and having a front edge, a rear edge and first and second side edges, a book support wall extending upwardly from the front edge of the base, a first side wall extending upwardly from the first side edge, a second side wall extending upwardly from the second side edge, with each of the side walls having a retaining tongue extending inwardly towards each other, the retaining tongues being of a triangular configuration. The book support is preferably made of a transparent plastic material and the retaining tongue is angled in a manner to permit turning of pages either from the upper or lower corner thereof.
