An interactive book-toy combination includes a book affixed to a toy character. The toy character includes a torso with a head and a plurality of limbs extending from the torso. The book includes a front cover, a back cover and a plurality of leaves therebetween. The back cover of the book is affixed to the torso of the toy character. The limbs of the toy character are extendable beyond peripheral edges of the book. The limbs are pliable and can be manipulated by a child into multiple positions. An interactive book-toy combination in another embodiment includes a plurality of printed octagonal-shaped panels constructed of generally rigid board material. The panels include a front panel, a rear panel and multiple middle panels between the front and rear panels. The middle panels are each hingedly connected at one side to one adjacent panel and at an opposite side to another adjacent panel, thereby enabling an accordion-like unfolding of the panels. A plush creature head is affixed to the front panel, and a plush creature tail is affixed to the rear panel. Pliable limbs are connected to and extend from the panels to create the appearance of a multi-legged creature such as a caterpillar. The pliable limbs are arranged in pairs, with each pair extending from a different panel. The pliable limbs can be manipulated and shaped by a child into various positions.
Cette invention concerne un livre-jouet interactif prenant la forme d'un livre monté sur une figurine composée d'un torse, d'une tête et d'une pluralité de membres supérieurs. Le livre comporte un plat recto, un plat verso et une série de feuilles entre les deux. Le plat verso du livre est fixé au torse de la figurine dont les membres s'étendent au-delà de la périphérie du livre. Les membres sont flexibles et peuvent être pliés dans une pluralité de positions par l'enfant. Dans une autre variante, le livre-jouet interactif comprend une série de panneaux octogonaux imprimés faits de carton sensiblement rigide. Il y a un panneau de dessus, un panneau de dessous et une série de panneaux intermédiaires entre les deux premiers. Les panneaux intermédiaires sont articulés les uns aux autres en accordéon et le panneau de dessus porte une tête d'animal en peluche et le panneau de dessous, la queue dudit animal. Des membres flexibles partent des panneaux pour figurer une créature multi-pattes telle qu'une chenille. Les membres flexibles sont disposés en paires, chaque paire partant d'un panneau différent. L'enfant peut manipuler lesdits membres flexibles et leur faire adopter différentes positions.
