A boot cover for use while hunting to silence noises when walking comprises, a tubular cover portion arranged to surround the boot. The tubular cover portion being formed of a plush fabric so that the cover absorbs the sounds of the boot engaging the ground and brush while walking. An open top end on the cover, an open bottom end on the cover so that, when attached to the boot, the sole of the boot is exposed for engaging the ground and a resilient material at the bottom end arranged to engage the boot, the material being sufficiently tight so that, when attached to the boot, the material is held and the cover engages the ground around the boot.
