A system for the storage and retrieval of pairs of boots (12) utilizing a plurality of chutes (10), each having a diamond-shape cross-section, with the chutes arranged in a honeycomb fashion, each chute having a carriage assembly (11) disposed along the length of its inner apex. A plurality of hangers (9) are provided, each having a pair of upwardly extending arms (38, 40) on which such pairs of boots can be mounted upside down with the hanger slideably and removably engaged to the carriage assembly. The chutes are disposed at a downward angle so that a pair of boots mounted on a hanger entered from the rear end of a chute will advance by gravity toward the front end of the chute where it can be removed when needed. An optional heating unit (42) can be disposed on the bottom of each chute to speed up the drying time of the boots if such boots are wet.
Système de stockage et de récupération de paires de chaussures (12) qui utilise une pluralité de couloirs inclinés (10), chacun ayant une section transversale rhomboïdale, lesdits couloirs étant disposés en nid d'abeilles et chaque couloir possédant un ensemble chariot (11) placé sur la longueur de son sommet interne. Une pluralité de dispositifs de suspension (9) possèdent chacun une paire de bras (38, 40) s'étendant vers le haut sur lesquels peuvent être montés des paires de chaussures à l'envers, le dispositif de suspension étant emboîté coulissant et amovible dans l'ensemble chariot. Les couloirs sont placés angulairement vers le bas si bien qu'une paire de chaussures montée sur un dispositif de suspension entré par l'extrémité arrière du couloir progressera par gravité vers l'extrémité avant du couloir où elle pourra être détachée selon le besoin. Une unité de chauffage (42) optionnelle peut être placée sur le fond de chaque couloir pour accélérer le temps de séchage des chaussures si ces dernières sont humides.
