ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A boot support device has a pair of elongated shanks, a respective upper portion extending from one end of each shank, with the upper portions being connected together, and a clamp slidable from a position around the upper portions in which the shanks diverge outwardly onto the shanks to cause the shanks to move together over their whole lengths whatever the position of the clamp along the shanks. The shanks are thus engageable with the inside surfaces of adjacent leg portions of a pair of boots over the whole lengths of the shanks from the clamp to the opposite ends of the shanks when the clamp is adjacent the upper edges of the leg portions. The shanks each have first portions with inner surfaces facing each other and constituting portions engageable with the inside surfaces of the leg portions of the boots, and second portions extending from the first portions and engageable by the clamp.
