A bottle security device includes a housing with an electronic surveillance article tag therein and a ratchet strap which extends from the housing and loops around the bottle neck to secure the device thereto. The strap has one- way locking teeth which are lockably engaged by a locking mechanism in the housing when the strap is inserted therein to secure the strap in a locked position. The housing has first and second opposed outer surfaces which taper radially outwardly and toward one another in a manner which makes the housing difficult to grasp manually or otherwise, thus helping prevent the breakage and removal of the device from the bottle. The tapered outer surfaces also serve to deflect impact forces to the housing to help prevent unauthorized removal of the device. An arcuate channel of the housing receives and aligns the strap for improved locking capability.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de sécurité pour bouteille inclut un boîtier comportant une étiquette électronique d'article de surveillance en lui ainsi qu'une bride de fixation à cliquet qui s'étend depuis le boîtier et forme une boucle autour du goulot de bouteille afin d'immobiliser le dispositif sur celui-ci. La bride de fixation comporte des dents de verrouillage unidirectionnelles qui sont en prise par verrouillage grâce à un mécanisme de verrouillage dans le boîtier lorsque la bride est insérée dans celui-ci afin d'immobiliser la bride dans une position verrouillée. Le boîtier comporte des première et seconde surfaces extérieures opposées qui s'effilent radialement vers l'extérieur et l'une vers l'autre selon une manière qui rend difficile d'agripper manuellement ou autrement le boîtier, en fournissant ainsi une aide pour empêcher le bris et l'enlèvement du dispositif de la bouteille. Les surfaces extérieures effilées servent également à dévier des forces d'impact sur le boîtier afin de participer à la prévention d'un enlèvement interdit du dispositif. Un canal curviligne du boîtier reçoit et aligne la bride de fixation pour améliorer la capacité de verrouillage.
