BOTTOM SWEEP AND RAIL UNIT FOR FOAM-FILLED DOORS Abstract of the Disclosure A unitized prefabricated bottom rail and bottom sweep assembly for foam-filled doors with metal skin, having a channel cross-section sheet metal bottom rail of lesser width than the thickness of the door between the metal skins and a bottom sweep of resilient elastic material molded on the exterior surfaces of the bottom rail. The unitized assembly replaces the customary wood bottom rail and separately attached sweep. The foam material in the door directly contacts the interior surface of the bottom rail, which rail may include inclined upwardly converging flanges forming embedded anchors in the foam. Depending sweep ribs may also extend substantially below the bottom rail.
