A bottom trawl (1) for fish catching comprising a trawl net having a front part and a cod-end part, and including such components usually present in a standard bottom trawl, is used in combination with an acoustic emitter (2) for producing an acoustic zone in front of the trawl net entrance. The emitter comprises transducer means mounted on the front end of a carrier towed by the trawl, and activating equipment located inside a sealed section of the carrier. The transducer means is adapted to produce a sector shaped acoustic directional zone (5, 6) oriented substantially horizontally in the direction of the trawl movement, the acoustic emitter being adjustable to set the angle of orientation of the transducer means such that an optimum level of acoustic pressure is achieved in the lower portion of said acoustic directional zone above the lop line of the trawl net.
Cette invention se rapporte à un chalut de fond (1) composé d'un filet conçu pour la pêche au chalut, possédant une partie avant et une partie arrière ou cul-de-chalut, qui incorpore des composants habituellement présents dans un chalut de fond classique ainsi qu'un émetteur acoustique (2) conçu pour créer une zone acoustique à l'avant de l'entrée du chalut. Ledit émetteur comporte un transducteur monté sur la partie avant d'un organe transporteur remorqué par le chalut, ainsi qu'un équipement d'activation disposé à l'intérieur d'une partie étanche dudit organe transporteur. Ledit transducteur est conçu pour produire une zone acoustique directionnelle (5, 6) en forme de secteur, orientée sensiblement horizontalement dans la direction de déplacement du chalut, ledit émetteur acoustique pouvant être réglé de façon à définir l'angle d'orientation du transducteur de telle sorte qu'un niveau optimum de pression acoustique soit obtenu au niveau de la partie inférieure de ladite zone acoustique directionnelle au-dessus de la ligne supérieure du chalut.
