An improved archery bow having a handle portion, at least one limb, and at least one innovative bow limb pocket. The limb pocket is engaged to an end of the handle portion, and has two side wall portions that taper to a bottom of the limb pocket. The limb pocket slidably engages at least a portion of the limb on at least the two side walls of the limb pocket.
