England ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sensor for use in a lane of a bowling centre to detect the relative position of a bowling pin, comprising a light responsive electrical device with a superimposed light conductive protector, the light conductive protective means having a refractive index and a length/diameter ratio whereby light entering therein will reach the light responsive electrical means only below a predetermined angle of incidence.
