A boxing aid includes a base (10) having a upward extending tube (11) which has a mouth (12) for filling water into the base (10) and which has a cap (14) for enclosing the mouth (12). The sleeve (20) includes a bore (21) for engaging with the tube (11) so as to be supported on the base (10). The tube (11) includes a slot (15) and one or more notches (16) formed in the outer portion. The sleeve (20) includes a projection (22) for engaging with the slot (15) and the notches (16) so as to adjust the height of the sleeve (20) relative to the base (10).
