A bracket assembly mounts a spray nozzle above and behind a supporting boom tube. The bracket assembly provides positive spring clamping force on the nozzle to be mounted, by spreading a pair of retainer legs as a clamp bolt is tightened. The bracket is made so the overtightening of the clamp bolt used will not damage the spray nozzles. The clamp bolt also clamps the bracket to the boom tube.
