ABSTRACT An end fitting for use with a hose having an inner layer of reinforcing fibers. The end fitting has coaxial larger and smaller tubular portions which are joined by a substantially flat surface circumferential shoulder extending radially from the smaller tubular portion to and joining the larger tubular portion. An annular resilient member is on the smaller tubular portion and abuts the circumferential shoulder. A liquid seal is formed when the end of a hose is passed over the smaller tubular portion and forced into contact with the resilient member comprising the resilient member between the circumferential shoulder and the end of the hose.
