The invention relates to a brake arresting device comprising at least one brake wedge (3, 4) which is arranged in a housing. Said brake wedge acts on a guide rail of the load suspension means when a braking procedure is triggered, and the course thereof is limited by means of a stop. The inventive device enables definite deceleration to occur during braking, independently from the size of the load in the load suspension means. To this end, at least one regulating device (13, 14) is provided which is actively connected to at least one stop (11, 15) or the housing (1). The stop (11, 15) or the housing (1) is automatically positioned by means of the regulating device (13, 14) before the beginning of each course in such a way that in the event of safety braking, the compression of at least one spring element (7, 8) and therefore the resulting spring force by means of which the spring element (7, 8) presses the brake wedge (3, 4) against the guide rail, are adapted to the actual mass to be slowed down.

L'invention concerne un parachute de freinage comprenant au moins une cale de freinage (3, 4) qui est logée dans un boîtier, qui agit sur un rail de guidage (2) de l'élément de suspension de charge en cas de déclenchement d'un freinage et dont la course est limitée par une butée. Selon l'invention, il est possible d'atteindre une décélération définie lors du freinage indépendamment de la taille de la charge présente dans le moyen de suspension de charge. A cet effet, au moins un dispositif de réglage (13, 14) présente une liaison active avec au moins une butée (11, 15) ou le boîtier (1). La butée (11, 15) ou le boîtier (1) est positionné automatiquement à l'aide du dispositif de réglage (13, 14) avant le début de chaque course de sorte que, en cas de freinage de sûreté, la compression d'au moins un élément ressort (7, 8) et donc la tension de ressort résultante avec laquelle l'élément ressort (7, 8) presse la cale de freinage (3, 4) contre le rail de guidage sont adaptées à la masse à ralentir réellement.
