ABSTRACT A disc brake or clutch assembly 10 having rotatable rotor discs 12 and non-rotatable discs 21, 22, 27 which are movable axially to engagement. The rotatable rotor discs 12 are secured to an annular splined mounting member 44 which has a plurality of grooves 49 therein to circulate cooling air. The rotor discs 12 have a plurality of holes 51 which enable air to flow between the rotor discs.
