PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: Patin de serrage pour organe de traction d'un élément allongé, comportant un boîtier rigide muni de moyens de fixation à l'organe de traction et ouvert du côté opposé à ces moyens de fixation, et un élément déformable logé dans ce boîtier et muni d'une garniture destinée à venir en contact avec l'élément allongé. Ce patin est caractérisé en ce que ledit élément déformable a une structure composite comprenant en combinaison un corps comportant un large évidement interne, ce corps portant ladite garniture et étant à la fois déformable, peu élastique et résistant mécaniquement, et une semelle en un matériau très déformable, et élastique, sen- siblement incompressible, cette semelle étant logée dans ledit évi- dement dont elle remplit sensiblement la totalité du volume. Un tel patin peut être utilisé pour équiper des chenilles comprenant au moins une chaîne sans fin pour la traction des éléments allongés.
