Abstract The present invention refers to an improvement in brake shoe of a brake assembly for automotive vehicles, comprising at least one longitudinal recess or channel (1,1') at the center portion of an upper convex surface (2,2') of table (3,3') of brake shoe (10,10') thereby causing alterations in resonance frequency conditions with the objective of reducing at the maximum or even eliminating the occurrence of the phenomenon called squeal (brake noise).
