ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The rotation side brake plates and the fixed side brake plates are pressed by way of the movement of the brake piston due to the supply of the hydraulic pressure, thereby braking the output shaft. The guide rod is cantilever supported in the housing. The guide rod is inserted into the hole in the projecting portion at the outer periphery of the piston. The return spring is interposed between the flange portion at the end of the rod and the piston. When the hydraulic pressure is drained, the brake piston is returned by means of the force of the return spring.
