A braking device including a chamber rotatably mounted on an axle, the chamber defining an inner cavity, a disc mounted on the axle in the inner cavity, the disc having opposing surfaces extending away from the axle, and a pourable material disposed in the inner cavity such that rotation of the chamber imparts a centrifugal force to the material, causing the material to be wedged between an inner surface of the inner cavity and the opposing faces so as to apply a braking force to the disc.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de freinage comprenant une chambre montée rotative sur un axe, la chambre définissant une cavité interne; un disque monté sur l'axe dans la cavité interne, le disque étant pourvu de surfaces opposées qui partent de l'axe; et un matériau coulable placé dans la cavité interne de sorte que la rotation de la chambre communique une force centrifuge au matériau, ce qui amène le matériau à être coincé entre une surface interne de la cavité interne et les surfaces opposées de manière à appliquer une force de freinage au disque.
