It is an object of the invention to realize a branch connector apparatus in which a branch connecting operation can be correctly and quickly carried out in accordance with polarity without cutting a main conductor or removing an insulator of the main conductor or a branch conductor. The apparatus comprises a connector (13) and a housing (3) which is provided with a main conductor insertion hole in which a multi-core flat insulation sheath cable (main conductor) can be inserted, a branch conductor insertion hole in which an insulated wire (branch conductor) can be inserted, and a connector insertion hole. One of conductive contacts of the connector pierces the insulator of the main conductor to engage with the main conductor portion. The other conductive contact pierces the insulator of the branch conductor to engage with the branch conductor portion. The apparatus further includes a sheath cutter (11) which can cut only the sheath portion of the main conductor so as to expose the insulator of the main conductor, and a sheath cutter insertion hole (35) provided in the housing to guide the sheath cutter (11).

L'invention a pour but de réaliser un dispositif de raccordement dans lequel il est possible d'effectuer correctement et rapidement un raccordement conformément à la polarité sans découper le conducteur principal ou retirer le corps isolant de ce conducteur principal ou d'un conducteur de dérivation. L'appareil comprend un connecteur (13) et un corps (3) qui est doté d'un trou d'insertion pour le conducteur principal dans lequel peut être inséré un câble à gaine isolante, plat, multi-âme (conducteur principal), et un trou d'insertion pour le connecteur, un trou d'insertion pour le conducteur de dérivation dans lequel peut être inséré un fil isolant (conducteur de dérivation). L'un des contacts conducteurs du connecteur traverse le corps isolant du conducteur principal pour venir en contact avec une partie du conducteur principal. L'autre contact conducteur traverse le corps isolant du conducteur de dérivation pour venir en contact avec une partie de ce dernier. L'appareil comprend également un élément de découpe (11) qui peut seulement découper la partie gaine du conducteur principal de façon à dénuder le corps isolant du conducteur principal, et un trou d'insertion (35) pour l'élément de découpe de la gaine formé dans le corps de l'appareil afin de guider ledit élément de découpe (11) de la gaine.
