ABSTRACT A fitting for connecting a branch pipe to main pipe, for example a gas main, with a threaded end for engaging a tapped bore in the main pipe, a sealing gasket around the end, a collar and a locknut by which the gasket may be compressed against the main pipe to form a seal but allowing the end to be angularly turned if necessary to align the end, the collar being rotatable with respect to but captive on the locknut, with the gasket being threadable on the end.
