Polymeric compounds useful as low foaming surfactants and defoaming and stabilizing agents for aqueous- and nonaqueous-based compositions, and processes for the preparation of the polymeric compounds, wherein the polymeric compounds are the reaction products of reactants comprising A) at least one linking compound of formula (I): R1(X)3, wherein each X group is a halogen atom or one X group is halogen atom and two X groups represent an epoxy oxygen atom, which is attached to two adjacent carbon atoms in the R1 group to form an epoxy group, and R1 is an alkanetriyl group containing from 3 to 10 carbon atoms; and B) compounds of formula (II): R2(OA)nX, wherein R2 is an organic group containing from 4 to 36 carbon atoms, n is a number of from 0 to 200, X is -OH, -NHR', or -SH and each OA group is independently an ethyleneoxy, 1,2-propyleneoxy, or 1,2-butyleneoxy group.
La présente invention concerne des composés polymères utiles comme tensioactifs faiblement moussants et comme agents de stabilisation antimousses destinés à des compositions non aqueuses et aqueuses, et des processus de préparation de ces composés polymères. Ces composés polymères sont des produits de réaction de réactifs comprenant (A) au moins un composé de liaison de formule (I): R?1¿(X)¿3?, dans laquelle chaque groupe X est un atome halogène ou un groupe X est un atome halogène et deux groupes X représentent un atome d'oxygène époxy, qui est fixé à deux atomes de carbone adjacents dans le groupe R?1¿ de façon à former un groupe époxy, et R?1¿ est un groupe alcanétriyl contenant de 3 à 10 atomes de carbone, et B) des composés de formule (II): R?2¿(OA)¿n?X, dans laquelle R?2¿ est un groupe organique contenant de 4 à 36 atomes de carbone, n est un nombre compris entre 0 et 200, X est -OH, -NHR', ou -SH et chaque groupe OA est indépendamment un groupe éthylèneoxy, 1,2-propylèneoxy, ou 1,2-butylèneoxy.
