ABSTRACT Polyamide block copolymers obtained by activated anionic polymerisation of lactams having at least 5 ring members in the presence of basic catalysts, polyisocyanates as activators and amino-terminated polyethers, which are characterised in that the amino-terminated polyethers have a functionality of at least 3.0 preferably at least 3.2, a molar weight of greater than 3000 and the degree of amination is at least 60% and the polyisocyan- ates are aliphatic or cycloaliphatic polyisocyanates. These polyamide block copolymers show high impact resistance even at low temperatures.
