Brass sinkers consist of, as the name implies, brass sinkers for attachment to a fishing line. This line of sinkers is designed to replace conventional lead sinkers that are dangerous to wildlife and in many cases fatal if long exposure or large amounts of lead are present, in this case, in the water. Humans are also susceptible to lead poisoning that can lead to disorientation, brain damage and even death.
