A braze alloy is described which includes at least one of gallium, indium and/or thallium as alloying elements. Such braze alloys may be particularly useful in brazing cutting elements to drilling tools and similar applications. These alloying elements may be added to a braze alloy to reduce braze temperature and/or to increase braze strength. Down hole cutting tools having cutting elements attached to a support structure using the braze alloy are also disclosed.
