Abstract of the Disclosure Joint clearance control in brazing is accomplished by incorporating in the brazing composition certain size metal particles, preferably spherical in shape, which substantially maintain their shape at brazing temperature and which at brazing temperature are preferably wettable by the filler metal in the brazing composition. The brazing composition can be further modified by the inclusion of similar particles of a ductile metal which is not entirely liquid at the brazing temperature, but which is sufficiently soluble in the filler metal at the brazing temperature to alloy incompletely with the filler metal. This latter modification is useful in brazing together materials of dissimilar expansion and contraction characteristics particularly as a function of temperature.
