The invention relates to a brazing product, e.g. a brazing sheet product, having an aluminium layer (1) being made of an aluminium alloy comprising silicon in an amount in the range of 2 to 18% by weight, and a layer (2) comprising nickel on the outer surface of said aluminium layer (1) such that taken together said aluminium layer (1) and all layers exterior thereto form the filler metal for a brazing operation, characterised in that the filler metal has a composition containing at least one element with a smaller exchange current density for the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction ("HER") than nickel, and whereby the mol-ratio of Ni to such element(s) is in the range of 10:(0.3-30). The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a brazed assembly using the brazing product, and to a brazed assembly comprising at least one component made of the brazing product.

Cette invention concerne un produit de brasage, par exemple un produit de brasage en feuille, qui présente une couche d'aliminium (1) faite d'un alliage d'aliminium comprenant 2 à 18 % en poids de silicium; et une couche (2) comprenant du nickel sur la surface extérieure de ladite couche d'aliminium (1) de sorte que, prises ensemble, la couche d'aliminium (1) et toutes les couches extérieures à ladite couche constituent le métal d'apport destiné à une opération de brasage. L'invention se caractérise en ce que le métal d'apport présente une composition contenant au moins un élément dont la densité du courant d'échange pour la réaction par évolution d'hydrogène ("HER") est inférieure à celle du nickel, le rapport molaire de Ni à ce(s) élément(s) étant de l'ordre de 10:(0.3-30). L'invention concerne en outre un procédé de fabrication d'un ensemble brasé utilisant le produit de brasage. Elle concerne un ensemble brasé comprenant au moins un élément confectionné avec le produit de brasage.
