A breast prosthesis comprising a material which as regards its soft elastic consistency and mobility is similar to natural breast tissue, and preferably a shell-like body of a two-component, addition cross-linked silicone rubber composition, is welded in plastic film sheets. The breast prosthesis is in a marginal portion thereof connected at one discrete point at least with a bearer strip, which for attachment to the breast of the user is provided with a permanently tacky layer. In order to render the attach- ment more permanent the connection is restricted to the central part of the bearer strip.
