ABSTRACT This invention relates to breath analyzers of the type wherein a sample of animal breath is analyzed or tested for determining a measure of the extent to which the sample contains a certain chemical species such as ethyl alcohol and other . beverage spirits, i.e., what is commonly called breath alcohol content (BAC). In human beings, breath alcohol content indicates whether, or to what extent, an individual's performance of skill and/or caution demanding routine tasks, such as driving an automobile, is impaired in fact and/or from a legal point of view.
