A breathable elastic laminate is formed by bonding a film including an elastic water vapor-soluble polymer to a neckable nonwoven web such that when the film is relaxed, the web is in a necked state. The breathable laminate is stretchable in a direction parallel to the narrowing or necking of the web. The laminate possesses excellent water vapor permeability but acts as a barrier to the passage of odor-causing chemicals including ammonia.
L'invention concerne un stratifié respirant élastique formé par liaison d'une couche mince renfermant un polymère élastique soluble dans la vapeur d'eau sur une bande non tissée pouvant subir un rétrécissement, de manière à laisser la bande à l'état rétréci lorsque la couche mince est relâchée. Ce stratifié respirant est étirable dans une direction parallèle au rétrécissement de la bande. Il possède une excellente perméabilité à la vapeur d'eau, mais il fait obstacle aux substances chimiques génératrices d'odeurs, y compris l'ammoniaque.
