A waterproof breathable sole for shoes (10), which comprises, for at least part of its extension, at least two structural layers, a lower one (14) provided with a supporting structure so as to form the tread, and an upper one (15, 215) that is permeable to water vapor. The lower layer (14) has portions (14a, 114a) that are open onto the upper layer (15, 215). A coating (21, 221) obtained by means of a plasma deposition treatment for waterproofing is provided on the upper layer. In this manner, a layer is obtained that has structural functions and characteristics of resistance to damage and is at the same time waterproof and breathable.

L'invention concerne une semelle étanche respirant pour chaussures (10) qui comporte, pour une partie de son extension, au moins deux couches structurelles, dont une couche inférieure (14) est dotée d'une structure de support afin de former la semelle, et une couche supérieure (15, 215) est perméable à la vapeur d'eau. Ladite couche inférieure (14) présente des parties (14a, 114a) qui sont ouvertes sur la couche supérieure (15, 215). Un revêtement (21, 221) obtenu au moyen d'un traitement de revêtement par projection plasma est engendré sur la couche supérieure. Une couche est ainsi obtenue, elle présente des fonctions structurelles et des caractéristiques de résistance aux dommages et elle est, à la fois, perméable et respirante.
