The purpose of this device is to allow the user to escape a smoke filled room in the event of a fire or toxic emergency. Comprised of an aluminum tank (1) charged with compressed air a mask (2) equipped with exhaust vents (3) and a prick punch/flow control mechanism (4) housed in a metal casing (5) within a molded plastic grip housing (6) which is forced into the soft metallic seal (7) on the threaded tank neck. Once pierced, the compressed air contained within the tank is released in a flow- controlled manner.
