The invention relates to a breech of a repeater weapon with a chamber (7), which is guided so that it can rotate about its longitudinal axis in a chamber sleeve (2) and can move in the axial direction in the longitudinal direction of the weapon and which contains a sleeve (10), a percussion piece (20) arranged so that it can move in the axial direction in the sleeve (10), and a tensioning device (28, 31, 46) for tensioning and relaxing a percussion piece spring (25) exerting force on the percussion piece (20). To enable a fast and simple exchange of the locking head, the chamber (7) contains an exchangeable locking head (8) and a locking mechanism (11, 20) that can be relaxed by the tensioning device (28, 31, 46) for holding the locking head (8) on the sleeve (10).
