A building component having first and second high density foam panels (12, 14) and improved bridging members (42) for connecting the panels (12, 14) that extend between and may be molded into the panels (12, 14). The bridging members (42) include a pair of elongated end plates (44, 46) oriented in a top to bottom direction of the panels (12, 14), a pair of substantially identical web members (48, 49) joining the end plates (44, 46) and being substantially symmetrically disposed above and below a central horizontal axis (X-X) of the bridging member (42), and a pair of strip members (60, 62) oriented in the top to bottom direction of the panels (12, 14) intersecting the web members (48, 49).
