SPECIFICATION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Levelling agents for use in zinc electroplating solutions are described comprising thallous ions or a combination of peptone and thiourea. The thallous ions are preferably added to a concentration of at least 1 mg/1 and the peptone-thiourea combination added to a concentra- tion of at least 100 mg/1 peptone and 50 mg/1 thiourea.
