ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed herein are novel compositions for use as additives to electroplating baths, comprising a stable microemulsion formed from a functional chemical electro- plating agent, which preferably is a brightening agent, water and a surfactant component, the concentration of functional agent in the microemulsion being at least about 1% by weight, based on the total weight of components of the microemulsion.
