The invention relates to a 'Bristle Golf Mat Tee' (Fig.1) for supporting a golf ball in conjunction with a golf mat normally used for either winter tees, or on a practice range. The 'Bristle Golf Mat Tee' would be interchangeable with existing tees and golf mats. The 'Bristle Golf Mat Tee' comprises of a body (1) which is made from rubber, or any other suitable moldable material, and consists of a flat circular disc attached concentrically to a tube on one end. The end of the tube not attached to the disc provides a base for a multiplicity of bristles (2). These bristles give annular support for a golf ball. The concentric tube projects up through a hole in the golf mat but terminates below the surface of the mat and provides no impediment to the golf club. The bristles project above the surface of the mat and provide support to the golf ball. These bristles offer no resistance to the golf club and will not cause damage to the golf club or injury to the golfer in the same way that existing rubber tees, which protrude above the mat, frequently do.
