ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a high production broaching machine which broaches openings in annular workpieces. The machine includes a plurality of vertical elongated broaches which are positioned in lateral alignment and workpiece support and locating apparatus aligned with each of the broaches. A loader includes an elongated inlet guide along which a plurality of the annular workpieces are advanced in a solid array. A plurality of non-consecutive workpieces having approximately the same lateral spacing as the broaches can be displaced from the array and transferred to the support and locating apparatus into alignment with the broaches. After broaching, the broached workpieces are simultaneously dis- charged from the support and locating apparatus to an outlet guide.
