Provided is a broadcast receiver appropriate for receiving a broadcast signal transmitted by a signal format for arranging an analog broadcast signal carrier and/or a digital broadcast signal carrier in a frequency channel with a predetermined frequency offset and a signal intensity. The broadcast receiver includes: information acquisition means for acquiring information on the carrier reception intensity and information on the frequency offset; and station-equipment judgment means for judging whether the frequency channel is station-equipped according to at least one of the information acquired by the information acquisition means.
