- 31 - A B S T R A C T Cross-connect devices (102) to which a plurality of broadcasting stations (108) are connected, are connected like a tree by a collection system transmission line (103) of optical fibers, thereby to form a collection network (100). A distribution network (101) including distributors (105) connected like a tree by a distribu- tion system transmission line (104) of optical fibers, is connected to one of the cross-connect devices (102) of the collection network (100). A plurality of distri- bution nodes (107) are connected like a star to each of the distributors (105). The distribution nodes (107) are connected to a subscriber network to distribute broadcasting signals transmitted from the collection network (100) to each subscriber.
