The present invention provides a method of unwinding (Broom) wire rope, and cable ends, these tools are for brooming cable ends. The tool (tools) of invention unwinds all the individual lays at once, rather than the one strand at a time per lay method. The kit of tools consist of, carrying case, pliers , flat top screwdriver, 60 degree angle gauge, ratchet, and all of the sizes of brooming tools to fit any and all wire rope and cable ends . These tools will be used before the open and closed spelter socket, open and closed swage socket, etc., are installed. The process will be to slide the brooming tool down over the lays of the wire rope and or cable, and turn (spin) the tool in the unwind direction until every strand is separated to the designated length or seized location. Tools range in size to accommodate all sizes of wire rope and cable that require their end broomed. The brooming tool is made out of hollowed pipe in a variety of sizes to accommodate any and all sizes of wire rope/ cable lays, with a wedged shape insert (fig 8), it's this insert that clinches the lays so that they can be unwound in a way that speeds up the process.
