ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a brush element for use in a lifting machine with drum-set rear for root crops which brush element comprises a frame component having a cross section of substantially circular ring shape for mounting by a central aperture therein on a shaft, a plurality of pin-like brush members extending from said frame component and a plurality of bosses circumferentially located on the end face of said frame component and outwardly directed from said end face, and a plurality of depressions circumferentially located in the opposite end face of said frame component.
