ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Brush-elements for the roller-brushes on machines for sweeping traffic surfaces, the said elements comprising tufts of bristles secured to a carrier in such a manner as to pivot about axes substantially parallel with the axis of the brush- element, the said tufts being staggered in relation to adjacent tufts, as seen in the axial direction, and the points of attachment of the said tufts being located at the intersections of helices with an additional helix.
