A brush with improved tuft retention having a handle, a head made from a flowable material, connected to the handle, having a plurality of tuft holes (52) therein, with at least one bristle (56) anchored in each tuft hole (52) with a multi-sided staple (50). Each staple (50) has a plurality of grooves (54) in at least one side and the grooves in the staples are transverse to the longitudinal axis of the bristles when the staple is used to anchor bristles in a tuft hole (52).

Cette invention se rapporte à une brosse se caractérisant par une meilleure retenue des touffes, cette brosse comprenant un manche et une tête faite d'un matériau coulant relié au manche, tête dans laquelle sont ménagés plusieurs trous de touffe (52), au moins une soie (56) étant ancrée dans chaque trou de touffe (52) au moyen d'une agraffe à plusieurs côtés. Chaque agraffe (50) possède plusieurs rainures (54) sur au moins un côté et les rainures des agraffes sont transversales à l'axe longitudinal des soies, lorsque l'agraffe est utilisée pour ancrer les soies dans un trou de touffe (52).
