BRUSH HOLDER WITH MEANS FOR LIMITING TRAVEL OF BRUSH SPRING Abstract A brush holder for a motor assembly is provided which prevents contact between a brush spring and the commu- tator when the brush is worn. The assembly includes a con- ventional brush spring for biasing the brush. The holder may include a bent tab for limiting spring, but not brush, travel. In another assembly, the spring, or an intermediate member, may include a portion which extends through a slot of limited length in the brush holder for limiting the for- ward travel of the spring.
