The present invention relates to a brush seal comprising a sealing element (12) provided with a plurality of filaments or wires that are joined at a filament or wire end (16) to form a filament or wire bundle (14) and a clamp-like sealing housing (18) for receiving and fixing the filament or wire end (16) between a first and a second limb (24, 26) and for fixing the brush seal (10) in a mounting recess (22) of a housing (20a, 20b). Said sealing housing (18) is designed in such a manner that the first limb (24) is configured to be shorter than the second limb (26), and the second limb (26) rests, by means of its outer contour, against the inner side of the mounting recess (22), and at least one partial area (32) of the inner contour of said second limb is adjacent, in the region of an outlet opening (28) for a free end (30) of the filament or wire bundle (14) that protrudes from the housing (20a, 20b) and that is opposite from the filament or wire end (16), to said free end, and is adjacent to an area (34) [sic] of the free end (30) of the filament or wire bundle (14) that is opposite from the partial area (32) at least partially at the outlet opening (28), and the first limb (24) rests against an inner side of the mounting recess (22). The invention also relates to a method for mounting a brush seal.
L'invention concerne un joint brosse comportant un élément d'étanchéité (12) présentant une pluralité de fibres ou de fils métalliques, qui sont réunis à une extrémité (16) pour former un faisceau (14) de fibres ou de fils métalliques, ainsi qu'un boîtier d'étanchéité (18) de type pince servant à recevoir et bloquer l'extrémité de fibre ou de fil métallique (16) entre une première et une deuxième branche (24, 26) et servant à bloquer le joint brosse (10) dans un évidement de montage (22) d'un boîtier (20a, 20b). Le boîtier d'étanchéité (18) est conçu de sorte que la première branche (24) est plus courte que la deuxième branche (26), cette dernière prenant appui, par son contour extérieur, contre une face intérieure de l'évidement de montage (22). Au moins une zone partielle (32) du contour intérieur de la deuxième branche, au niveau d'une ouverture de sortie (28) destinée à une extrémité libre (30) du faisceau de fibres ou de fils métalliques opposée à l'extrémité de fibre ou de fil métallique (16) et faisant saillie par rapport au boîtier (20a, 20b), se trouve en appui contre l'extrémité libre (30). Une zone (34) de l'extrémité libre (30) du faisceau de fibres ou de fils métalliques (14), opposée à la zone partielle (32), prend appui au moins partiellement contre l'ouverture de sortie (28). La première branche (24) prend appui contre une face intérieure de l'évidement de montage (22). L'invention concerne également un procédé de montage d'un joint brosse.
