BRUSH WITH TUFTS OF FLEXIBLE BRISTLES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A brush, particularly a toothbrush, with several discrete tufts consisting of flexible bristles each having one end anchored in the adjacent supporting surface of the brush body. The bristles of some or all of the tufts are inclined relative to each other and relative to the axes of the respective tufts as well as relative to adjacent portions of the supportinq surface. Each tuft can resemble a cylindrical rod in undeformed condition but its free end expands in actual use due to enhanced flexibility of its bristles as a result of inclination of the bristles relative to each other and relative to the supporting surface of the brush bodv. At least some of the tufts can be assembled of shorter and longer elongated straight or helical bristles.
