ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a bubble oxygenator including a housing, a bubble chamber in the housing for mixing blood and respiratory gases and a reservoir chamber in the housing. Oxygenated blood is conveyed from the bubble chamber to the reservoir chamber over an inclined temperature controlled ramp structure over which blood flows under gravity, the temperature of blood flowing over the ramp thus being controllable.
