FORM 24 (ss. 21, 31, 34, & 142) ABSTRACT The combination "Digger Derrick Bucket Truck" is a very versatile piece of equipment used by electric and communication utilities and contractors. The type of truck referred to here has the Derrick mounted on the right rear corner next to the curb and is carried with the boom tip out over the front of the truck body over the cab. These booms have a winch and a cable mounted on the boom tip which is used to lift things like poles or electrical equipment. The bucket of these trucks is mounted on the tip of the boom also usually on a fibreglass extension that can slide in or out. This is the most beneficial place for it as far as reaching out and up is concerned. While these buckets can be left on or taken off, a lot of the time it is carried right on the boom. When the bucket is put in the transporting position on the boom it must be swung up to a horizontal position so it is up over the cab of the truck and also over the windshield level so the driver can see. These buckets are very heavy and must be lifted to and from the transport position by hand. This invention is a tool that enables a lineman to raise and lower this bucket using the winch on the boom tip to lift the weight.
